This place was super easy to find. LOVED the neighborhood. Right next to Vondelpark. There are about 2 coffeeshops on this same street, about 1-3 minutes away from the flat. To put it simply, this room is pretty much an apartment. Had a great christmas here. Also, Marc, the guy who is in charge is a wonderful person and very, very helpful. Fantastic room and very spacious. The owner was helpful and friendly, he told us where shops, entertainment and restaurants were. All the facilities were good and the kitchen was well stocked with essentials left from other visitors which we were welcome to use. We thought the property was great- the room was really spacious with two large doubles in and was clean and warm. We had our own large bathroom and there was a shared kitchen. It was easy to get to from the centre and the tram stop is right outside. I think that it is a lot nicer and better value for money than hostels. Value for Money is really a must. Marc (the owner?!) is very helpful and can provide you all the information you need. I think this is an apartment with 3 rooms that Marc is renting as an hostel, so you won't find the noise and confusing of typical hostels. The room is very spacious. There is a common kitchen with all the stuffs provided. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There is also a washing machine on the top of the house but the staffs didn't tell me. So I don't know if it can be used or not. This was the best accomodation I stayed in over the five week holiday throughout Europe. It was spacious and felt lovely to stay in accomodation which was more like a house than the normal stay in a hotel room. Everything was clean and it was the most relaxing space to come back to after exploring the city. The layout inside the apartment was fantastic and Marc was just great and really welcoming. The location was good as well in terms of nearby services and tram location. This definately meets the high expectations of Australians when travelling. It also beat staying in a hotel in comparison to money spent. It's private and spacious and clean. I would definately stay there again without hesitation.
