I just don't know where to start.... a great little private guesthouse with real hospitality and friendliness! A refreshingly different type of hotel compared to most places we've stayed in Vietnam. Extremely clean, welcoming and helpul. No hassle about tours. Friendly family with lots of practical advice who go out of their way to help.We were only there for 1 night, but the lovely Vy and her charming parents made our stay most enjoyable. When we came back from Phu Quoc in the morning and were due to fly back to airport in the eveing, Vy so kindly let us have a shower in her own private bathroom before our flight back - what a lovely guesture!! I've worked in the tourist industry for many years and have seen a lot of hotels and guesthouses... this was one of the best! Ideal for backpackers or for people looking for a non-expensive stay in a large city. Rooms were emaculate and very quiet, (very unusual in Saigon!). Free internet usage was most convienient as well.

Fantastic service lead by Ms Vy who knows how to exceed guest expectation!! The staff was gracious and very generous with their time to answer any questions or needs that I had.I wanted to get some suits made and a dress so vy put me on the back of her motor bike and took me to a taylor to get the suits made and then another one to get the dress made, both taylors were amazing!The rooms at Vy's were amazing, sheets and towels changed everyday, aircon, flatscreen tv, fridge with water, hot running water in shower, western CLEAN toilet. You are about a 1 min walk not even that to the main "backpakers" street of restaurants and shops and 10 min walk to the markets. I would not book anywhere else! and i WILL STAY WITH VY AGAIN!!!OUTSTANDING!

Location of the guest house is very good and rooms are nicely decorated and clean. Also the man who looked after us was very friendly and welcomed us with lemon juice drinks and next day served us with some vietnamese coffee, all free on charge. We also got information about trips to surrounding tourist attractions.

I can't write enough good things about this place. Rooms were clean, decent-sized, and secure. Small common area with 2 computers plus free wifi. Vy is amazingly helpful and kind, and speaks excellent English. She gave great travel advice, gave us a map of Saigon with the tourist sites on it, set up most of our travel arrangements in Vietnam and Cambodia, and got us a discount on the bus tickets. She even let us keep our bags there on our last day when we didn't have a hotel. I would definitely stay here again!

I stayed at Vy's guesthouse for 6 weeks while working in HCMC, and then again for a few days after traveling, and Vy and her family really made a home away from home for me. They are welcoming, generous, helpful, and so much fun! She speaks a very good English and provided us map with the details of tourist attraction but no pushy (If you want to tour Mekong and Cu chi etc. there's no need to go elsewhere. The tours that Vy offers are not only cheap but are very reliable as well. No need to worry about being scammed at), nice and affordable restaurant, open and closing time of the market. An information that you couldn't mostly found in the internet.
The guesthouse is a clean sanctuary away from the chaos of the city. It was wonderful to come home from work and be able to spend some time with Vy and her family. I will miss them so much and I feel so lucky to have found Vy Khanh guesthouse. Thanks Vy and family!

I've stayed in many hotels, this is my first time in a guesthouse and i was so surprised. The place was so clean, the family (owner) was very hospitable, helpful and mostly very honest (i left my cell phone at the front desk and they returned it to me). I would recommend this place to all of my friends and all of you who want a place at a modest price but with high quality of service.
The location is fantastic, in the heart of backpacker territory so you can have lots of cheap fun. The hotel itself doesn't have a big social scene but it's a 2 minute walk to a busy street with many bars and cafes. The rooms are really quiet too. It's also very close to a lot of sights (10-15 minutes walk). We will definitely stay here again.

My stay at Vy Khanh Guesthouse was awesome! Prior to arriving in Ho Chih Minh, I recieved an email from Vy confirming my stay and offering clear directions to the guesthouse. I arrived after a 40hr train ride from Hanoi at 4am in the morning, tired and grumpy. I was checked straight into my room instead of waiting until 12pm which is the normal check-in time at no extra charge. As you can imagine I was extremely grateful! Vy was super helpful and lovely. The room and bathroom was clean and homely - very nice having traveled for a couple of months. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to all!

Ms Vy and the other staff were extremely helpful- gave us lots of information about what to do in the city and general advice for travellers. We were given welcome drinks the first day and bought a plate of fruit one of the days we were there- little touches that really made us feel welcome.

We stayed at Vy Khanh guesthouse on our first night in Ho Chi Minh. The family made us feel very welcome, gave us coffee and fruit in the morning and gave us a map with places to visit, eat & drink. On returning to Ho Chi Minh a month later on the day of our flight home, we had nowhere to leave our luggage for the day, however at Vy Khanh they were more than happy to let us leave our bags there for the day, and on collecting them that evening they also sorted us out an airport transfer from their driver to save us paying for a taxi. A big thankyou for all your help and generosity!

Vy was such a lovely, helpful person who did everything to make our stay enjoyable. She was prepared to put herself out for us and made our stay most enjoyable. The hostel was in an excellent location, being close to many of the interesting sights in Ho Chi Minh, and surrounded by a multitude of eating places, bars and cafes. I would sincerely recommend her hostel to friends and relations. A great place to stay!
