I liked the fact that it belonged to a general bottom floor of diverse cultures. Walking into the building you definitely feel as though you're traveling; by which you can take in foods from all stretches of the globe and get your custom made suit at the same time if that's your thing. That's about as far as my "likes" go. I suppose the showers are decent as well.

I like the fact that is is well located in Hong Kong, near Tsim sha tsui. The staff were very grumpy though. When I simply asked whether I could still cancel the second night 30 hours beforehand, they got very agressive telling me how crazy/stupid I am that I even ask about that. Very rude, and unnecessary as I was just asking politely.

It seems that if you want a cheap place to stay than this "hostel" at Chunking Mansion might be your only choice as there are just one or two more hostels (YHA, didn't find it here on hostelbookers) in Hong Kong. Book in advanced because it's really hard to find a room/bed on arrival without booking! It is clean, the location is perfect as it is only a few minutes to the star ferry or the malls, parks and markets, the owner was helpfull, but...

The aircon in our room was broken and didn't get fixed during the stay but the lady at reception was very helpful and did everything she could to make our stay comfortable
