Hotel Las Gardenias Reviews from the Web

4   Good accommodation in a lovely village near Tikal. This is an excellent base for visiting Tikal. The hotel is comfortable, cheap and has a restaurant with a view of the lake, shop and reception where you can book tours. It is quite lively in the evening so can be a little bit noisy but it's very quiet during the night so you'll be assured of a decent sleep. We only ate in the restaurant twice but it was tasty and reasonably priced. There are plenty places to eat in El Remate. We booked transport to Tikal and a sunset tour through the agency in the hotel, very easy and efficient. Our room was large with a big very clean shower room. We had three double beds (for two people) all comfortable but not much else in the way of furniture. There is a nice little garden but we didn't spend much time in it, the beautiful Lake Petén is on the other side of the road!  , age 43, Scotland ()
