Great Deal! This is a great place to stay, the place is clean and well kept. They have free internet for guests, a kitchen at their disposal. Nice and quiet in the rooms even tho in a busy residential area which is handy to all areas. Good Food places close by plus Francesco is amazingly helpful and nice to boot. He helped us so much with information and made reservations at great places for us. Good air condo, some rooms with private bath, a clothes line for hanging clothes. the only problem is there are stairs as long as that doesnt bother you. i say book it and you wont be sorry. good experience and price for Florence. — Susan , United States (2008-07-03)

Il Ghiro is dormhouse located on Via Faenza in Florence. It is about a five minute walk to the train station, a three floor walkup apartment. They have five rooms, 2 I believe have private bathrooms, the rest share a bathroom. The room that we had did have a private bathroom. The room was a nice size, 1 queen size bed, a desk, and 2 chairs. The bathroom was clean and well kept. The place itself is clean, and the hostel was quiet at night. It is on a pretty busy street, but we were not awoken by sounds from outside the hostel. It is in a good location, tons of restaurants, gelaterias, and bars nearby. The main Florence attrations are about a ten minute walk from the hostel. There is a central room where you can sit and chat with other guests of the hostel. It is a very friendly and social place. There is a computer where you can go online 24 hours a day at no additional cost. They also have a kitchen, and washing machine which can be used for 3 euros, and then you can hang your clothes out to dry on the clothes line. Someone from the hostel is there from 8am to 1 pm and then again from 4pm to 8pm. He can give directions and assistance on many things around Florence. They also have a ton of books on the area. Really a no frills place, although for a few nights and for the price, it is definitely well worth it. — Anonymous (2003-12-01)
