This is not a backpackers hostel and should not be called a guesthouse
Unfortunately I did not research this hostel enough before going. It is not a hostel or guesthouse. It is dirty, three-room apartment that the owner has decided to call a "guesthouse." It is very close to Ikebukuro Station in Tokyo however it is located in a street that is mostly Love Hotels (the ones that charge by the hour). It is not welcoming and does not feel safe. The inside was dirty, there was only one shower for male/female, the kitchen is tiny and can only fit one person at a time, and the toilet is located outside the apartment. There are two rooms that have many bunk beds squashed together, one of these rooms does not have a door. Only stay in this place if you want to hear stories about the Chinese Mafia, the owner's Chinese girlfriends, or about the local prostitutes.
