5 Rolando and Family are lovely and full of life energy and enthusiasum. Room with kitchen was one of the best places we stayed, simple but all you need! We sold our bicycles to Rolando and now he plans to rent them to tourists for much cheaper than you can find in other rentals in Habana, great way to travel and see the city is on bike!   — Molly Bond (2011-12-14) Hostelbookers
5 When we arrived, it turned out we werent staying at this hostel but at another casa particular owned by a family member around the corner. This wasnt a problem for us, as we felt well looked after by our host Oscar. He was a fountain of local information and very willing to help us and give us tips. He and his wife were very welcoming. When we returned to Havana a few days later, Oscar told us to look him up again which we did and he sorted us out with another place to stay nearby as he was full. Neighbourhood is around 25 mins walk to old Havana but situated near Plaza de la Revolucion. Nice period house. Good breakfast.   — Catherine Charles (2011-11-11) Hostelbookers
Rolando is EL JEFE! He is a fucking BAWS of Habana! Best place in Cuba!   — Mads, Denmark (2011-08-12) Hostelsclub
5 nice owners, especially liked own key and independent entry something rare in Cuba, very specious room, kitchen and batch!!   — Zeljko-Ivica Kuca (2011-07-10) Hostelbookers
5 Nice and friendly family, very helpful in giving advice of places to visit in La Habana   — Customer review (2011-04-17) Hostelbookers
5 Casa Goicochea, run by Rolando Ocampo and his family, is probably the nicest place I´ve ever stayed. All the amenities you need, and very good value for money, with a lovely host family to make your stay enjoyable. On the first day, he showed me around the neighbourhood, showed me the local shops, the nearest money-changers, good place to find food etc., everything! And made me feel right at home. The location is brilliant too. Its in a safe neighbourhood of vedado, with the malecon a half hour walk to your north, and habana vieja (tourist central, and deservedly so) a half hour to your east (where you pass centro habana and the old capitolio). All in all, I´ve truly enjoyed my stay here, and only wish it were longer. Lovely place, lovely family.   — MUHAMMAD CHUGHTAI (2010-07-22) Hostelbookers
4 Casa Goicochea is a nice clean hostel located in a quiet neighbourhood. The staff is very friendly and helpfull and from the hostel its easy to reach Havanas centre by foot. Plaza de la revolucion and the national bus terminal are only a couple of blocks away.   — Maarten Craenmehr (2010-04-11) Hostelbookers
