Hosteria y Jardin Botanico Sapos y ranas

Sapos y Ranas is located on an old cattle ranch where more than 50% of the lands were converted to pastures like many rural areas of the nation, with a major loss of biodiversity. We have conserved part of the primary forest that remained on the property and we have been reforesting the rest of the area for seven years; at present 100% of our lands have been reforested with species of the zone and some introduced ones.

Our visitors will be able to appreciate the subtropical forest undergoing recovery and natural regeneration. This effort has helped improve the landscape of the region, conserve micro-basins, and attract different animals, especially birds including toucans, hummingbirds, parrots, woodpeckers, tanagers, and more.
We also work on implementing best management practices for tourism sustainability and we participate in activities with the community.
