Both the room and the bathroom are clean, and the rates are good. It is centrally located, and it's easy enough to find your way around the city from here. The owner was helpful and had plenty of information on what to see and do. It's inexpensive, bright, airy, clean, and within a ten-minute walk to everything there is to see and do in Crete's capital city. Almost all rooms have a balcony, many with fine views of the sea. There are also many single rooms, for those who travel solo, like myself. The management is super-friendly, in that genuine Greek way, and will give advice on good places to eat, etc., that generally attract more locals than tourists. I was going to stay two nights; I ended up staying five. Many people who visit Crete are anxious to get to the coastal resorts and don't bother to spend time in Heraklion — but they're missing out.
