The Panizo Hostal is am small hostal ,very confortable, the building have am exelent atmosphere and is located in the best place of Madrid if you want to see the most importants places of the city or if you want to enjoy of the night of Madrid at Huertas Street with all their Pubs, Bares, restaurants and night clubs.

The hostel was very clean and in the middle of the city centre. Rooms had bed linen, towels and even a private shower. Rooms were only really hot (no airconditioner) and the 'women of the hostel' didn't speak any english.

Very clean and in a prime position right near Sol station and the main shopping strip. Can be noisy at night though and we only got one set of keys between the 2 of us!

Stayed one less night than planned because the hostel was awful. Staff is nice, but only speaks spanish. No air conditioning, the internet doesn,t work AT ALL on the third floor of the building, so we had to pay to use internet cafes everyday. 2-person room only had one bed, and one, long pillow. The towels were air-dried, stiff, and didnt feel nice at all.

Only one shower for all the guests. I found a cockroach from the toilets. People smoked in the toilets. A lot of noice, but no parties. No air-condition. Staff didn't speak english. But otherwise a nice and pretty clean hostel in the centre. Lot of bars shops and sights near. I could sleep there again.

Panizo hostel offers the bare essentials, but more than expected considering the very low prices! Simple and a little bare, but clean. Excellent central location. We recommend it!

hostel is situated in the centre of Madrid - it is just 7 min. by foot to the center and to the metro station. It is quite clean, polite owners, just doesn't speak english. I liked this hostel and would recommend to other people :)

The location is pretty good, but I'm pretty sure that my friend and I were bitten by bedbugs while there. Also the rooms were a bit dingy and there is only one shower.

The location in the centre of madrid is a good one. however, especially the private rooms are situated near the street which contains many bars and clubs. because the doors to the street of at least our room did not close completely, the noize in the room was unbearable with little sleeping hours as a result.
So i would recommend to look for another hostel if you like at least 6 hours of sleep a night :)

The staff had an uninterested attitude.
The service level was low and the staff was not wiling to give good information.

The Hostel is very well located, but the rooms are ugly and the hostel looks very very cheap. The staff doesnt speak a very good english but they are friendly. There is just one shower for everyone, the rooms are small. Dont expect tourist information, they dont have even a map to give you.

For people that don't mind using a bathroom outside the room, this hostel is quite alright. There was a big downside though: the water pipes are very noise and that woke us up a couple of times in the morning.
