4 Excellent location, clean, great view from the terrace, kind staff
I was there with my husband in May 2009 for six days. It is located in Sultanhamet between Grand Bazaar and Ayasofia, so the most important sightseeings are on walking distance. On top of the hotel there is a restaurant which terrace has a great view on Bosphorus, and you can enjoy it any time of a day. Breakfast is pretty much ok and you can eat as much as you can. There is waiter called Sami, a very nice guy who will make scrambled eggs for you if you ask, or make coffee or tea any time you ask. The smallest rooms I have ever seen, but they are cleaned every day, and you get clean towels every time. The bathrooms have no cabins so when you have a shower it gets soaked, but we had no problems with that. Not all the staff spoke English, but they all were very kind. One day we had problems with leaking tap, so I called the guys on the reception and they fixed it in no time. However, I would recommend you to pay for your accommodation or anything else asap (you won't be asked to do so, but it's better to insist), and not to leave it for the last moment. And be very careful how they calculate their prices (a tip for all Turkey, not only this hotel). If you made a reservation, print it out and take it with you. If you arrange airport pick up with them, try to bargain about it. We really enjoyed it there and would stay there again.
