The perfect holiday destination We had a wonderful time at Bulan Baru. Yes, it is about five minutes from the main area of Sengiggi, but it has all the benefits of that -- primarily, no hawkers disturbing you constantly and an uncrowded beach right at the door. The rooms are clean and quiet. The staff speak english well and nothing seemed a problem. They organised taxis, day trips, and diving for me -- everything we wanted! Good food, drinks, and a casual laid-back atmosphere -- the perfect holiday! — Anon , Australia (2009-04-14)

Nice casual relaxing atmosphere. Great service and clean rooms. Highly recommended for people that wish peace and quiet. — Rick and Michelle , Aust (2007-04-02)

Bulan Baru has to be one of the best places to stay in Lombok. Peaceful, with all the essential elements for a retreat from the outside world, the hotel is located next to a beach that is practically deserted. It has stunning gardens, amazing food and service and care from all the wonderful staff. Travel into Senggigi is not an issue as long as you are organized — very easy to accomplish with the help of the hotel. Rental cars and scooters are extremely inexpensive and reliable and having a drive around the island is a must-do! — Alex & Alex (2005-10-05)

Good location close to town, and the hawkers in town are a nuisance. It's only five minutes by taxi (cheap) and a stroll across the road to a good, quiet beach. Beautiful garden and friendly staff. Very clean rooms, the best we have stayed in for the price. Great food and cocktails by the pool! — Anonymous (2005-08-20)
Inconvenient location. Practically the only taxi available takes ten minutes, NOT five minutes, to get to the center of Senggigi. There are no restaurants and no pubs around, except their restaurant, which serves average food. It has a nice bathroom. — Anonymous (2005-01-30)

Friendly owners, very welcoming. The food was tasty & very fresh, and the red wine, too--aah! — Anonymous (2004-08-22)
