I hated the place. It seemed like a jail. — Anonymous (2005-04-07)

I would rate it better -- it was comfortable and clean -- if it weren't for two things. First, it's not a place to go for fun. Guests tend to keep to themselves and are older and families -- unlike other hostels where there are plenty of people to talk to and enjoy. Second, the man in charge has a surly attitude. The female staff are lovely, but the manager is difficult to tolerate. He acts like he is doing guests a favor just to say hello, which is unheard of in Ecuador. — Anonymous (2004-05-24)

This hostel was very nice, and the price makes it definitely worth the stay. You feel right at home. — Anonymous (2004-02-17)
