Monselice is a great place to escape for a bit from touristy cities and just relax. The town is so cute and you can easily visit other towns from there. The hostel is in a great spot and is more like a hotel really. the castle is fun and getting lost among all the close shops (everything close for a couple of hours during the day) really is just entertaining.I loved my time here.

You get breakfast and dinner and in Venice this is a very big plus! It will end up saving you money! Although I did have to pay 5 euro for linen but you can't have it all! Its a bit of a weird set up but I enjoyed it!

Great place! While not very close to the train station, is was definitely within walking distance (about 20 to 30 minutes). And it's in such a cute place - up on the hill, on a quiet street, not far from the castle and other beautiful places around town. Love the town, too! One of our favorite places of all our trip (among Florence, Sienna, Venice, Rome, Sorrento, Amalfi...). Very nice people, wonderful food (so fresh!)...

Very clean comfortable accommodation. Shame there was no cooking facilities for self catering travellers.

Nicely renovated, the thick stone walls, the medieval ceiling and windows add a nice touch to staying in this nice little town.

We boooked to stay here for one night whilst visiting Padova (20mins on the train - trains about every 20mins but loved it on sight so much that we decided to stay for three nights. Its location is obviously out of the centre but there are good services to Venice, Padua, and Bolongne. However, the hostel itself is in a beautiful location beneath the castle in lovely cobbled streets. The hostel is not 'lively' but is beautifully quiet. We were a group of three girls and we had a room all to ourselves, the rooms felt more like a hotel than a hostel with towels, clean linen, soap and somebody cleaned our room and made our beds every day. All in all our stay was more than ideal for what we wanted. Don't come here if you want parties or to meet lots of new people, but if you want somewhere quiet, comfortable, clean and beautifully situated then we would recommend this to anyone. There isn't a lot to do in Monselice but if your happy to wonder, explore, and eat pizza and geleto into the night then this is the place for you! Also these monks knew what they were doing and the hostel is wonderfully cool in the august heat.

There's terrific hiking in the area. The trains to Padova run about once per hour for most of the day (but not every hour - so be sure to check that.) It's a great deal and the staff are friendly.

Nice rooms in a wonderful restored building, in ancient times built by a rich Italian family. Our room was just like a hotel; nice and clean sheets, airconditioning and our own bathroom and toilet. Also the place Monselice is wonderful, friendly local italian people, colli euganei in the neighbourhood, and Padova, Venice, Mantova and Bologna are easy and cheap to visit with the trainconnection. Also a good hostel to go with your own car.
A la prossima volta!
