Architecture

The pushkar bagh is an exceptional example of elegance and symmetry in Indian architecture of the last century. The entire bagh is carved out of the famous pink sandstone of Jodhpur it exquisitely captures the romance and grace of a bygone era. The Pushkar Bagh courtyards are peaceful havens where guests can unwind for the day and spend the afternoon leisurely reading or relaxing while capturing the panoramic view of mountains and desert. The resort has been beautifully built by its owners Kunwar Mahendra Singh Rathore, (The erstwhile Jhagirdar) and his wife kunwrani prerna. Each cottage & tent has been created and decorated with its own particular charm and the many courtyards, verandahs and gardens all offer a setting and ambiance set to capture your heart. The cottages & tents have been innovatively crafted using the traditional skills and crafts of Rajasthan. Each cottage & tent at the Pushkar Bagh consists of an outer verandah (5m x 3m) with deck chairs, table and electric lantern where one can relax sipping morning or evening tea. The bedroom (5m x 5m) has two single antique wooden beds or king size large antique wooden bed with two bedside tables N night reading lamps, a writing table N chair, two easy chair & a traditional bajot (small table), Antique wooden wardrobe, bags stand and a antique dressing table with mirror and 'durries' to cover the floor. Each cottage & tent has a large size (5m x3m) in suite bathroom with all modern amenities including herbal toiletries. The sleeping area can be curtained off with mosquito nets, if desired, and there are four windows with netting and blinds for ventilation. Each cottage & Tent has its personal breathtaking view of the desert and mountain. Architectural design gives a glimpse of royal bygone era of maharajas. It's unique location and personalized services will provide guests an unforgettable and everlasting moments in life. There is a large dining hall (Surya Mahal) serving the best of Rajasthani cuisine and a large open reception tent with seating areas.
