Excellent position in town. but if you go by car, parking is a nightmare. Ask for a window on Fuencarral, unless you accept to stay in a prison.

The hostel is perfectly located in one of the famous shopping streats of Madrid and only a 2 minutes walk down to Gran Via. The hostel itself is ok, at least it looks better than most hostels in Madrid. Rooms and bathroom are quite small though and the bathrooms are not the newest ones (at least the one i had) but for the price and the location the hostel is absolutely not too bad! The staff is friendly and always there to help you.

+ Very good location at the Fuencarral. Friendly staff and a reasonable price.
- Tiniest room available in Madrid, and it needs maintenance (water damage, paint job)

Excellent place to stay in Madrid if you're looking for a cozy & clean budget hostel. Virtually all of Madrid's major tourist attractions are within walking distance..Metro is only a 5 minutes walking distance away. Hostel is actually on the 4th floor, so make sure to use the lift, especially if you're carrying luggage.
Jorge-the owner- is amazing & will perfectly explain in details how to
find your way around central Madrid. Overall, this was a very friendly and pleasant experience, considering this was the very first time we've ever stayed in a Hostel. The rooms are on the 3rd floor, so you have complete privacy. Despite being right on the bustling Fuencarral street, it's amazingly very quite and pleasant.
Our only recommendation/suggestion will be in regards to credit card not being accepted at the check-in. The lady-Olga- told us cash only despite the fact that my reservation was clearly stating that Credit cards were accepted..fortunately we had enough Euros to pay, but we felt she could have handled it better instead of simply telling us ATM machines were nearby to get cash. Other than that, we definitely and strongly recommend this cozy and clean Hostel to anyone who's planning to visit Madrid on a budget.
Gracias Sr.Jorge por todo.

The hotel is well located in the city center of Madrid next to Gran Via. The staff is very kind and the rooms are quite comfortable, considering the trade off Price/quality

I would recommend this hostel. It's pretty cheap and location is great. One minus: the matrasses are not the best, so don't go there if you have a bad back. If you do go: have breakfast at the little "very good food" joint around the corner! (next to starbucks)

Very nice hostel! Cheap price for room and very nice and helpful staff (which speak english)! Position of the hostel in a very living street near subway station (at around 20-25min from airport) and very easy to find!

The Calle Fuenceral, where the hostel is located, is one of the most interesting in Madrid. There are some very nice tapas bars in the neighbourhood, and many many shops where you can buy nice things- off the rack.
We had to switch rooms once, but the receptionist wasn't able to explain it to us. Unfortunately, not every member of the staff speaks either english or german or french... In sum, we enjoyed staying at Colors Host and would recommend it to everyone who wants to spend little money on a nice trip!

Great location, very centric, so you hear streetnoise at night, not for people who need silence to sleep. Nice atmosphere, had a great stay and can definately recommend.
