• Tlacotalpan is a town southeast of Veracruz within the limits of the Papaloapan Basin in Mexico. Its name means 'land line'. Located in the Gulf of Mexico, is known for its fishing tradition and the two annual festivals Jarocho music and tenth sponsoring especially interesting for being a cultural and historical link between Andalucía music, west-central Africa and the native cultures of Mesoamerica.
