My name is Raja, I was born in Weligama and I have been working in tourism for 32 years. My Guest House was recommended by Lonely Planet, Rough Guide, Footprint and other guidebooks, but the Tsunami destroyed the buildings in 2004. I started to rebuild everything and opened again in 2010.
I offer a laid-back atmosphere home for my guests. My place is ideal for budget travelers who are looking for a cheap rooms in a friendly and quiet place close to the beach.
There are three single and four double-rooms in the house. We offer budget accommodation with all the facilities for backpackers. The rooms are simple but clean with attached bathrooms, fans and mosquito nets. The beach is only 2 minutes walk. There is a large inside lounge as well as a terrace to relax or enjoy our delicious home-cooked meals with a wide selection of seafood.

• Raja's guest house is located very close to both bus station and train station. 600 meters from the train station, and 400 meters from the bus station. You can use Navigation on your phone to the guest house. The easiest way to get to here is by a tuk-tuk. It usually charges about 100 LKR. There's an option for a pick up, if you call at the guest house and give information about your reaching time.
