We offer top class surf just minutes walking distance from the lodge for the more experienced surfer,
or if you just want to learn theres a small beginners break right out in front , wether you long board or
short board , this is definatly the place to be seen !
Surfing can be found all year round the island , but for the best breaks and wave , we recomend September
to late December for the serious die hards , this time of year is not recomended for the faint hearted !

Come experience the thrills of all aspects of Big Game , wether it be Bottom Fishing , Jigging , Trolling or
Night Fishing, Sailfish Bay Lodge gives you that opportunity .to participate .
Excellent low cost rates which will be hard to beat from any other tour opperator here on the Island,
half day or full day excursions and night time fishing are all available .
All the boats used have the most experienced fishermen the Island can offer , from Pump Boat to our own
30 feet Catermaran designed twin engine Inboard Fishing Boat.
All the boats are based in the Fishing village of Pilar only a 15min ride from the Lodge.

Our fishing equipment is of the highest quality , with top brands such as Penn International , Okuma Pro,
Black Bart , Balihoo .

Generally the season starts around March going right through until December with limited fishing from
January to late Febuary.
Sailfish can be found all year round but the best months being March to August.
Marlin from the month of May to August ,but this could run later into the year ,but undiscovered so far !
Swordfish and Giant Yellow Fin Tuna are best caught at nightime between April to September
Wahoo ,Mahi Mahi , Dorado, Kingfish ,Yellow fin , Bonito , Barracuda , etc are generally popular all season
but for higher catch rates on Mahi Mahi and Wahoo -- March ,April ,September to November are what
seems to be the best months.
Squid fishing is also popular here being nightime fishing with huge amounts being caught when in season!
Big Red Snapper for the months of September October and early November .
