Sonas Guest House, one of Edinburgh's best "Bed and Breakfast" (B&B) establishments, is a converted 19th century Victorian Villa, built in the 1870's for the directors of the Railway. It offers the charm of 19th Century Edinburgh with 21st Century amenities.

The guest house is ideally situated on the south side of Edinburgh City being located on a quiet side street close to Arthur's Seat (Edinburgh's extinct vulcano), the Royal Commonwealth Pool, University of Edinburgh, Royal Observatory, the Festival Theatre, The Queens' Hall and a short bus ride away, Rosslyn Chapel, Roslin.
Edinburgh, being a capital city, is awash with restaurants, bars, clubs and a broad variety of shops so what ever your interest you are sure to have a wonderful and enjoyable time.
Bed and Breakfast
At the Sonas Guest House all bedrooms (single, double, twin, or triple/family) are en-suite, most with the luxury of a bath and shower. They are centrally heated, well appointed and all have Multi Channel Flat screen TV with DVD and I Pod facility. We offer complimentary beverages.
Both Wifi and Private Parking are free. We are Non-smoking.
Full Scottish breakfasts are served in our attractive dining room so you are well prepared to explore the 1000 years of history that awaits you on our doorstep.

• The guest house is ideally situated on the south side of Edinburgh City being located on a quiet side street between Dalkeith Road (A7) and Minto Street(A701) - close to Arthur's Seat (Edinburgh's extinct volcano), the Royal Commonwealth Pool, University of Edinburgh, Royal Observatory, the Festival Theatre, The Queens' Hall and a short bus ride away, Rosslyn Chapel. The Royal Mile and The Edinburgh Castle is 20-25 minutes walking distance or an excellent, frequent, cheap local bus service speed you up to get to the heart of Edinburgh.
• We are easily accessible by car, bus or on foot and free off-street parking is provided for cars and bikes.
• To find us by bus, catch any of the following Lothian Region Transport (LRT) buses from Princes Street or the Bridges - 3,7,8,29,31,37,49. It is a quick journey up 'the Bridges' and the road changes name a few times. Get off the bus at Minto Street and turn left at the next set of traffic lights onto East Mayfield.
• Taxis are readily available from outside both Edinburgh Airport and Waverley Train Station. Rates from the train station to the Sonas are around £7.00 and from the airport £25.00
