The distance between the Guest House and the main touristic areas goes from 5 minutes walking to 20 minutes by bus or cab.
Also, we have a relaxing space to enjoy after tours in the city. Whenever you return from the Sugar Loaf, Christ, the Redeemer, Lapa, Santa Teresa, back from the beaches, Tijuca Forest, Botanical Garden, a hangliding, Favela tour, Maracanã or Samba City, our bar and swimming pool will be waiting for you with nice snacks, sandwiches and good music.

I would definetly recommend the place! Lagoa Guesthouse is very, very welcoming. The owners and the stuff create a warm atmosphere for everyone that arrives.
The Location doesn't seem to be that perfect, but it is actually easy to get anywhere with the buses just outdoors. When I was there we had a group of interesting and fun people and everyone enjoyed the place, the breakfast and the dinner that they cooked (Feijoada)!

All the staff are so kind, welcoming and helpfull- they really make you feel at home. The hostel has a really laid back and homely atmosphere- we met some great people and staying here made my carnival experience really good!

This is an amazing hostel, easily the most fun hostel I've stayed in, with a great mix of ages and people from all over the world - the main reason it is so good is the staff, they were unbelievaly helpful as staff but also great fun and lovely, genuine people to socialise with. It feels more like you are staying in their house than in a hostel. The atmosphere rubs off on everyone who is staying which makes for a fun and really friendly atmosphere. Also the nights out which were recommended were all spot on and the barbecues are pretty tasty as well.
