You can spend a leisurely day here, or a quick stop, all with relatively low pressure compared to many other tourist sites. From Ayutthaya you can quickly get on an express way and be back in Bangkok in about an hour. Ayuttthaya Place (Youth Hostel or HI-Ayutthaya) is located in the center of Ayutthaya city where you can easily access by local public bus or taxi (Tuk-Tuk) from bus terminal or railway station. It has built from old wooden with Thai... BJ Guest House  "The hostel is typical for the area: open plan with basic rooms with fans for around 60 baht (dorm room). The dorm has four beds and all have decent mosquito nets. The mattresses are very hard though, but this is, again, typical for the area. Expect to wake up early. It is located centrally just about 200 meters west of where the busses from Bangkok drop you off. It's easy to miss, but as you walk away from the bus drop off point (not a station or terminal, just a road really) you... Ayutthaya Others Sri Ayutthaya Welcome to Sri Ayutthaya!Ayutthaya is the former capital of Thailand and one of the most important UNESCO's World Heritage sites of Thailand, located about 70 km north of Bangkok, well connected by train and bus services leaving and arriving every 30 min. The Hotel is also for comfortable living for our guests who comes for volunteering, internship or basically just trips to Ayutthaya. The Hotel is nearly all the conveniences such as 24 Hours convenience stores, supermarket, restaurants,... Bann Kun-Pra Guest House & Restaurant  "Not so great - This Hostel is not so good. It's in an authentic wooden Thai building near the river, but also on a very busy street. I got a room facing the street and it kept me awake all night long, but that could also have been the bed, which was hard as wood. I asked for another room, but, although there were hardly any other guests (if any) they didn't give me one. The only good thing is that it's near the railway station (take the ferry across the river) and quite central. I recommend... And 3 Guesthouses and 5 Hotels also in Ayutthaya... Booking for a group?
