"This is a pretty good place to stay. It's nice and clean, but what else do you expect in Switzerland? Free bed sheets, free locker, free shower. It's pretty far away from everything and really hard to find -- it's on a back road around a bend with no signs on the main road. Just DON'T use the internet there! "You cannot beat this hostel for a cheap Lucerne accommodation. The location is incredible — right on the river. Our room overlooked the river! The staff were perhaps the most friendly we encountered in all of Europe. The room was clean, comfortable, and fairly spacious for a hostel. "This was a great, quiet little hotel about ten minutes from the train station. It's not far! Just a couple stops on the tram, then you have to walk down a really charming, tree-lined street to get there. The lady at the front desk was so sweet, let us leave our bags with her until our room was ready. The rooms were super clean, there is a wardrobe and a sink/mirror, they even give you face towels. "This trendy boutique hostel was actually a prison until 1998. Now prison memorabilia lines the corridors and each of the rooms has the original heavy wooden cell doors, replete with slots for food. The rooms are surprisingly bright and spacious, some even have toilet and shower. The place is very clean and they provide sheets and towels.
