   "Mountaintop hostel with a view of downtown San Sebastian and the beaches. There is a large common area with tables, couches, a TV, and a large kitchen. In the backyard is an area with tables, a grill, and a great view. The rooms and bathrooms are of average quality. The location can be reached with a 25 mintue climb up a trail from the beaches/downtown. There is also a shuttle bus that runs from the hostel La Sirena a couple times in the afternoon and evening. Ulia-Mendi is owned by...  "An average, medium-sized HI hostel. There is a common area with tables and a TV but most people just hang out on the front porch. The bathrooms have all the right features (private showers, good lighting, power outlets), but they haven't aged well and they aren't very pretty to look at. Big lockers are provided in the rooms, and they would be big enough for a backpack if they didn't have shelves installed in them.
