"This place was wicked. I spent lazy days idly about on the roof terrace, and crazy nights partying with the staff (thank you Regan, Dave and J bird, you guys rock my world). The place is cleaned everyday, and the image promoted by the staff and the owner is more of a friendly, family guesthouse rather than a 9 to 5 money-churning business machine. Nick, the owner, is not a cantankerous halfwit; he is relaxed, chilled out and a friendly guy who is always willing to share a story. Make the effort to stay here. "… run almost entirely on solar and wind power! There is a shared kitchen and living area. However, the best thing about the hostel is the local area. We are 1 km away from a natural pine forest park (La Breña de Barbate) and 5km from at least 5 amazing beaches (including Spain’s best surf spot, El Palmar.) Vejer de la Frontera is a 3km bike ride away; here you will find everything you would hope for in a Spanish village.
