 "Set on a pristine farm with white picket fences, this place whispers peace (unless you're part of the wild party groups that stay on occasion, that is).
Centrally located and just minutes drive from town, there's always something on, be it skydiving, paintball (situated over the road), sea kayaking, surfing or the highest bungy jump in the world.
Take it easy at one of the nearby animal... A double storey house with two 'braai' areas, bar, entertainment area, internet, lazy lounge, self-catering kitchen and plenty showers offers our guests all they need to enjoy a comfortable stay. We have our very own generator for those inconvenient power outages we are all experiencing throughout South Africa. So no one will be 'left in the dark.'
This is where most people...  "Southern Comfort Western Horse Ranch ranch truly lives up to its name. This is a backpacker, but also a horse farm. It's away from the hustle and bustle of town, and yet offers various activities on the farm or in the surrounding areas.
The Location
The farm is situated between Knysna and Plettenbergbay, in the famous area called the Garden Route in South Africa. It's not too difficult...   "It's a very clean (really spotless) backpackers. Actually it's sometimes intimidating for its tidiness (the dorm beds too are made every day}. The common room is right next to the common kitchen, and it's side by side to the in-house bar. It looks a bit like "granny's cottage" with silverware and lace curtains too, but it's very warm and the couch is just about the best place to watch a video..."Albergo for Backpackers is set up on the hill with a panoramic view over a beautiful tidal lagoon and the Indian Ocean, Albergo is in a convenient location in the centre of town. Shops, bars and restaurants are on the doorstep and even the beaches are nearby. Our peaceful garden is large enough for both an energetic game of cricket or football and lazy dreaming in swaying hammocks.
Every... "This is really one of the best hostels, maybe the best hostel, i discovered in South Africa. It's new and you have an wonderful feeling there. Jeff is a great guy and he makes everything for his guests, he gives you a lift, makes reservations for a lot of tours, gives nice hints, and even cares for your laundry service. You have all basic spices in the kitchen and every time fresh fruits for...(Keurboomstrand)   "When we turned up it was for one night but ended up staying for three - although of the couple that owned it, the chap wasn't there much. His wife was incredibly friendly though and made us feel perfectly at home.
Place is only small, with 3 or 4 rooms - try and get the ensuite as it is self contained above the garage so really peaceful, only noise we heard was the waves. Amazing location... "This is not an average backpackers by any means. One does feel like one is at an up market resort rather than a backpackers' hostel. We opted for the self-catering cottage option, and found it very comfortable. Some in our party didn't like the rather dark showers with their odd cobbled floors and voyeuristic baboon spiders, but the lovely grounds and pleasant swimming area made up for the...
