"Bib's International Backpackers is an excellent hostel in prime African location. It is a hostel that caters for everyone and everything. Upon arrival, rather than get a quick tour of the hostel and then let loose with an ad map, they give you a guided tour in the hostel vehicle. The tour takes about half an hour and you get to see hippos, crocs, and the Indian Ocean. The staff are very knowledgable about the surrounding area and give you warnings about where to be at night -- hippos wander...

We were in St. Lucia early January 2004 for a week. The best place we have ever been. Our two boys loved the place, so much to do, so much to see, so little time. We will be back.

I visited St Lucia in 1992 just after my 21st birthday as a part of a University of Port Elizabeth Geography 2nd year excursion. It was certainly a beautiful and breathtaking place where peace and the wonder of nature overwhelms you. It's a haven for the spirit where just being there relaxes your mind. The simplicity of life takes over and you become completely transgressed to a happier state of well-being. I would highly recommend it to anyone. I live in the UK now and miss Africa dearly. One of these days I will return to her and her wonder, especially St Lucia.
