"Just stayed there last weekend, it's an excellent hostel, very good facilities (the plasma in the lounge is class!), excellent kitchen, nice wooden floors, and small dorms. The location is also perfect, it's right next to the bus station and the train station, less than five minutes walk to the nightclubs if you want to go out as well. There's also a pay and display multi-story carpark right next door if you need to park the car, which is only three pounds for twenty-four hours (you can come and go as you please) so don't get ripped off by...  more »

"I visited this hostel during the summer of 2004 and liked it very much. For such a low price per night I think the hostel provided a very high degree of comfort, and the shower and toilet facilities were always very fresh. The location is perfect since it's so close to the center of the town. And it still can provide a nearby walk (or run) along the River Ness and the beautiful Ness Islands. But, saying that the Inverness Castle should be minutes away from the hostel is a lie — it's only seconds away. (Well, ok, it depends on how fast...  more »

"Fab place, very clean. There's only a few showers... but hey I never had to wait for anyone. For the ones who were waiting, there were chairs!!! The people were very nice, especially the blondish girl at reception. It also has a fabulous kitchen that allows some real cooking. "Excellent hostel, great location,fab staff, huge common room. - I visited the Highlander hostel on 23rd May 07, I have been to many hostels in the UK and all over, I felt this hostel was great, just off the high street, masive common room, with pool table, Plasma, Internet etc. The staff were very help full, they even picked me up at the bus station by car( a Silver CLK Mercedese) great accomodation, cool kitchen great showers hot water even at 3am. "This hostel provides a fantastic base for searching for the mysterious Nessie (Loch Ness monster). It is right on the shores of the Loch. At times there is a lack of hot water so need to shower nice and quick. It does really only cater for groups rather than individual travellers.
