  "Excellent Staff and Good facilities - Just four months after these guys opened, it's already a really sweet place. The facilities range from excellent (kitchen, common room, potentially usable space outside) to ok (internet is a shared computer till now). I am sure that this place will develop very nicely. "Friendly hostel, but an uphill walk away from the city center - Coimbra's HI Hostel is situated just above the Parque de Santa Cruz, about a twenty-minute (uphill) walk from the main shopping street and ten minutes from the famous Coimbra university. Although the beds were not the most comfortable I've ever slept in (and a little short for a tall Dutch woman like me), the friendly and helpful staff makes well up for that. Female and male dorms are on separate floors; bathrooms were clean...
