"10/10 - I've been to a couple of hostels before, but this was the best so far. This was an excellent place. Not only is it close to town, about 2 minutes walk, but also the place itself is cozy, familiar and you feel at home. The rooms are big, very clean and I must say that my boyfriend has trouble sleeping, but in those beds he slept like a child! "Clean, Quiet, Efficient, Affordable - If you smoke, drink and party hard, then this is not a place for you. We spent four nights here and it was a nice place to come back to each night. "I stayed here in January and I'm pretty sure that this hostel is basically brand new. The location is good — it's on the other side of the tracks from the old town, but it only takes maybe 10 minutes to walk there. Everything in the hostel is clean and new. However, when I was there only one shower was working (which wasn't a problem because my friend and I were the only two people staying there). "I spent a few nights here with some friends last year. The hostel's main advantages are its low prices and its location – it's almost directly in the center of medieval Gdansk. It's only a 50-meter walk from the front door to the "Dluga," Gdansk's main tourist street. "I stayed here in August 2004 and I would only recommend staying here if you have to. The whole setup is really temporary and the place was jammed so you could barely use the computer. The housing is in Polish University dorms, which leave a lot to be desired. The place is not particularly clean, and you have to request toilet paper from the front desk and bring your own to the bathroom. The staff is only marginally friendly, and there are some weird people who stay here — on our floor there...  more »
