"This is a great hotel/backpackers. It is warm and cozy and welcoming. It has a big lounge with pool table and lots of couches for watching TV. That is, if you can take your eyes off the artifacts on the walls and suspended from the ceiling. The kitchen is extremely well equipped. The room I had was very comfortable. "A nice place to stay in Kaikoura - We went there in April and got the en-suite room on the back which has a nice "sunrise" view of the ocean. The room was spotless with four single beds (no bunk). All the amenities are there including kitchen, refrig, microwave, utensil, and even a radio. The hosts were nice and appeared excited to welcome guesses. Kaikoura Travel Tips & Suggestions

Kaikoura is absolutely gorgeous! It's laid-back atmosphere is right up my alley and it's the world's best place to swim with the dolphins. The pods are normally 100-800 dusky dolphins. I love this place! — Craig
