New Zealand is a small country with lots of small towns. The trick is to enjoy the little quirks and absorb the environment and take the positives. That would be why a lot of people are not disappointed.

I was really dissapointed by Raglan. The town is REALLY small and the beach was nice, but not all the trouble that my friends and I put into getting there.
