(Colonia Centro)     "I really liked this hostel. They offer tour packages of the surrounding area. It is centrally located (just blocks from the Zocalo) and the staff were very pleasant and helpful. I met some friendly folks who told my buddy about places to stay in Puerto Escondido. Also, a group of Mexican students (very young) for some reason all wanted to take pictures with me (ha ha ha). My only complaint was...  "Excelent Hostel, very good breakfast. the dorms are almost like a private room. just three minutes and we were in the heart of the historic center. they have very profesional Mexican cooking lessons! above all, it was very clean and the staff was great." … "1 p.m. indeed! - Right, having to take the only available option to get from San Cristobal to Oaxaca, which is a nightbus, I arrived... "Great hostel, helpful staff. Cheap rooms (80 pesos for the mixed dorm). Central location. Loses a star because the pool wasn't available when we were there but otherwise great. Stay here." … "All right - This hostel is probably good in the summer but since everything is outdoors (tables, showers, bathroom) it can be quite inconvenient in the winter. Our dormitories have orthopedic mattresses with cotton sheets and clean blanquets, rest on them with a really low price. The towel is included in the price!!!

We are in an excellent location, you can walk some steps and enjoy the downtown... Our hostel has seven private rooms and a mixed dorm.
There is a rooftop kitchen for the use of the guests. The roof is also open for our guests to enjoy the view of central Oaxaca, the zocalo, seven distinct churches, the mountains and Monte Alban. Adorned with different species of cactus from the region, our guests can also enjoy bar service on the roof.
