HI - Daisetsu-zan Shirakabaso YH Hostel

"One can be forgiven for thinking Daisetsuzan Shirakabaso is the wrong place. This large, beautiful, wood-paneled building with an attatched log cabin is an extremely nice and relaxing hostel, and a great place to base yourself for hikes in Daisetsuzan and to Asahi Mountain. The bus from the front of Asahikawa city bus station drops you off right in front of the hostel.
