Since May 2007, the hostel is run by Zanzibar Social Cooperative who, realizing the cultural and social significance of this prestigious place, has made the hostel a hive of activity, a meeting point for exchange, hospitality, a space for courses, seminars, summer camps, debates, concerts, exhibitions and parties.
