We completely refurbished the representative old building and furnished it up-to-date – as it is standard for A&O. All rooms, whether single rooms or for several persons, have private shower and WC. A special attraction are the family rooms with two single beds and one bunk bed.

"The Hostel Sleepy Lion is a 10 minute walk from the Leipzig Hauptbahnhof main railway station (although in summer 2004 there were a lot of roadworks and diversions in the area, making the walk a little longer). It's located in a renovated old house close to the bars and restaurants on Barfussgasschen and Markt, the main square, and is easy to find. The building has a nice feel – and the facilities are better than what you would expect to find in the old east Germany.
The hostel overall... "This was a very odd youth hostel. The whole hostel had a ghost hotel feeling. We were on the top floor, even though the whole place seemed empty except those who worked their and a handful of guests. The neighborhood seemed a bit sketchy especially at night.
