Bad Kreuznach Travel Tips & Suggestions

I was stationed in Bad Kreuznach from March of '59 until February of '61 and loved every minute of it. I met my wife there (she's since passed away) and we had so much fun as it was a wonderful town.

I spent five years in Bad Kreuznach. I had two children there and at fifteen and sixteen years I'm finally taking them back to show them the homestead, even though it's gone. I was saddened to see how it looks now but I sure will treasure those years forever!

I loved every minute of my stay while stationed there with the military and would like to visit again someday.

I was stationed in Bad Kreuznach from December 1986 to March 1990. I met my wife there and thought about getting out and living there at one time. It's a very nice place -- I miss it, my wife and I have to go back one day.

I was stationed in Bad Kreuznach from 1986 to 1989 and have so many fond memories of my life there. The people have been in my heart since I left. I was so sad to hear that Rose Barracks had been closed. I was so very lucky to have served in such a beautiful place.

I was stationed there in the mid- to late eighties. There was something enchanting about that city. I can still remember the smell and feel of the air in the evening.

I was stationed there from October 2000 until it closed. I really enjoyed it and will cherish it. It meant a lot to me to see how the community opened its arms to the military while it was occupied.

I lived in Bad Kreuznach from 1977 to 1981, when my father was stationed there. I loved it so much and really miss all the fun we used to have.

I lived there with my wife and my two daughters who were born in Landstuhl. I can't believe it's been over twenty years -- so many memories.

I feel so blessed to have been able to spend the most precious years of my youth in Bad Kreuznach, Germany. I find myself dreaming of being there, back in time as if I never left. I used to be in the Army, now I'm a Marine. Although I love my Corps, nothing can replace what the Army meant to me, and the experience of being in the Army, stationed at Rose Barracks -- it's a true dream. I wish Rose Barracks would have never closed down, I would have loved to go back and visit heaven on earth -- the place where I lived as a soldier.

My mother is from Bad Kreuznach and my father was stationed there. My grandmother still lives there. I love the place and consider it dear to my heart -- I'm headed there in March '07.

I was stationed in Bad Kreuznach 1986 to 1988. I loved it. It is hard seeing the installation closed now. I have only fond memories of this place. I plan to return with my husband and show him all the places I used to go.

I was born and raised in Bad Kreuznach. I now live in the States, but I sure think of my hometown often! Ever since Rose Barracks closed, it sure wasn't the same anymore, but sure had some good memories!

I was stationed in Bad Kreuznach from January, 1984 - April, 1986, and lived in a German apartment on the economy. It was a lovely experience! To the person above who commented on the Rhine River. It's the "Nahe River" which runs through Bad Kreuznach, not the Rhine.

I lived in BK for just over two years and absolutely loved it. There's nothing more relaxing than taking a walk by the Rhine river. Make sure and try the GLUWINE while you're there!

I was there for two years and it was such an experience. Love the view of the vineyard in the morning, just like what you see in magazines.

I lived in Bad Kreuznach! Fantastically beautiful area. It's more fun when you're fluent in German, though.
