Through the University of Houston, I have stayed at this hostel twice (2000 & 2002), and everything only gets better and better! Our group meals were wonderful, especially a particular lamb stew they made for us. Carcassonne Travel Tips & Suggestions Comment by Anonymous It looks like a Disney attraction, but this castle-town is the real thing. It really makes you feel like you're living in the middle ages. Take a walk in the evening and buy a crepe from a street vender and wander around the cobblestone walkways inside the walled old town city. There's a bus from the new town city center (not far from the train station) that takes you to the walled old town. You can also walk to it in about half an hour or so.
