Quiberon Hostels

Quibeon is a little village on the south coast of Brittany in France. It is famous for its coastal scenery. On one side of the village is a wonderful rocky coast and on the other, fantastic white sand beaches.

Quibeon hostels are an all season destination. In the summer, many families visit this small resort village and go sight seeing, sailing, and sunbathing. There are several nice clubs, and a casino to entertain you at night.

In the winter, people staying in Quibeon hostels enjoy smaller crowds, windsurfing, watching the huge waves crash on the rocky coast, and of course visiting the nearby world famous megalithic site of Carnac (which is the longest menhir course in the world).

Food can also be a highlight of your stay in a Quiberon hostel. Tasty seafood is prevalent, including raw oysters which are farmed locally (you can even visit the farms).The experts will tell you they are best between September and March, but they are a treat pretty much any time of the year.

Quiberon can be easily reached by train. Once in the village, if you have a bike you will fully enjoy the area around the hostels in Quiberon. If you're on foot, expect some long walks and keep in mind that taxis are rare and expensive, and public transportation is only available during the high season. The resort might look a little desolate in the middle of winter, as many storms hit the coast, with wind gusts over 100km/h, and most of the hostels, restaurants and shops are closed, but it's still worth stopping then.

There is a limited selection of hostels in Quiberon, and in the neighbouring villages, so make sure you reserve your bed well in advance if you plan to visit it during the high season, and make sure they are open during the off season.
