Strasbourg Hostels

Strasbourg is the capital of the Alsace region in north-eastern France and features European institutions such as the Council of Europe, the Eurocorps, and the European Parliament.

The city is divided into several quarters and if you are looking for a Strasbourg hostel, there are several options. The Old City Center is the geographical heart of the city and hosts most of the major attractions. The neighboring quarter Petite France has many historical buildings and is very picturesque. La Krutenau is dominated by its large student population and features funky cafes and hip nightlife spots.

The Strasbourg airport can be reached by an express train. There are numerous inner-French and also some inner-European flights that land here. You can also get to Strasbourg by train; there are frequent connections to several larger French and German cities. Getting around when you stay at a Strasbourg hostel is easy because there is an extensive public transport system in place. In the Old City Center, however, the best way to get around is on foot.

Admire the Gothic Cathedral with its famous astronomical clock and the medieval cityscape. The Quartier Européen (European Quarter) is full of modern architecture. There are also rotating exhibitions to view at the numerous excellent art museums, such as the Musée des Beaux-Arts, the Musée de l’Œuvre Notre-Dame, the Musée des Arts décoratifs, or the Musée d'art moderne et contemporain.
