"Kipps is a great little hostel that feels like home. It's located about a ten minute walk from the central part of Canterbury. There are two train stations in Canterbury and Kipps is closer to the East station at about a five minute walk away, while it's about a 20 minute walk from the West station. By the way, you may not have a choice as far as which train station you arrive at since they serve completely separate lines and which station you will arrive at depends on where you are...

This splendid Victorian villa is near the centre of the early Christian city of Canterbury, with good access onto the Kent Downs. The hostel is popular with groups and individuals alike, who enjoy the friendly atmosphere. It’s within easy reach of the North Downs Way and Pilgrims’ Way, while the city itself has a cathedral, St Augustine’s Abbey, various museums, guided tours and theatres.***No membership required. We called this hostel and the hostess was very welcoming and told us to come right over. The place is very cute and they make you breakfast in the morning. I'm studying abroad over here from America and am absolutely loving it. The cathedral is reason enough to come! I recommend it for sure.

Canterbury is a gorgeous city! Take a river baot trip (from Weaver's), Go to the Cathedral (quite expensive but SO worth it). Rent a bike and go to Whitstable on the Crabbe and Winkle route. There's a park next to the West tower at the end of High street which is really nice. I love Canterbury!

Very beautiful little city, the small streets are much like the streets of southern France.
