"HI - YHA Birdoswald Hostel has plenty of atmosphere to say the least. In addition to being housed in an old Victorian castle, the rest of the grounds are the site of the old Birdoswald Roman fort! The hostel retains a pretty quiet mood, and is a popular place for families and Romanophiles.
