Staff are friendly. It is best to use the self-catering kitchen, as the breakfast is expensive. Evening meals are also offered, but they too are expensive. "The only problem with this hostel is the location: It´s a bit of a bloody hike to get there from, or get to, Penzance´s bus station. The best bet is to get the bus to St. Ives, or any other bus that goes down the Promanade from the bus station, and then get off at Alexandra Road (the Alexandra hotel is about 10 meters up the road, it´s a good landmark to look out for), and then hike up the road until you get to the hostel.
