Baños Travel Tips & Suggestions Comment by K Visit the "Le Prechaun" bar -- great place. If it's slow, you might get a salsa lesson from the barkeepers. Comment by Paolo Magri My third time and still loved it, although the bus ride was a bit scary. Do not go if you're afraid of heights. Make sure when you are there at night take the chiva (bus) to the top of the mountain where the cross is. When you arrive they light a big fire, sing songs, and put on a good act twirling torches. Great spot to meet lots of foreigners -- American and European. Love the climate. I still recomend it. Comment by Paolo Magri I had a great time in Baños. Plenty of restaurants and bars, cheap clean hotels (as low as $4 per night), lots of outdoor activity. Been there twice and going again next year. I recommend it for anyone.
