České Budějovice Hostels

If you're coming to České Budějovice, you're most likely coming for the beer. Home to more than one brewery, this town is a great place to travel alone or with friends and enjoy tossing a couple back. The town has a very laid back feel and the people are extremely friendly, although English is not spoken by as many people as you will find in other cities.

České Budějovice hostel choices are limited. The good news is that the hostels that do operate usually do not fill up most days and have a charm like no other. As tourism to this area is on the rise it is very common to find that hostels are newly renovated and excellently run.

Most hostels are located in the streets surrounding the main square. The train and bus station are opposite each other, to get to the main square take the wide pedestrian only street (right from the doors of the train station, left from the doors of the bus station) and walk for about 5-10 minutes. The main square is very large and unmissable.

The Budweiser brewery (not to be confused with the beer from America by the same name) brews a world renown beer and offers a great tour every day in multiple languages. Although it is a bit of a hike out of the main square area, there are many buses going in that direction. Avoid getting a hostel anywhere but the main square as the town does get more run down the farther you get away.
