   "Bright and shiny as a new dime, Arenal Backpackers is less like a hostel and more like a motor lodge, which it may well have been in a previous incarnation.
The Location
Just about three blocks from the bus stop and La Fortuna's downtown, it's easy to get to and easy to get around to all of the local attractions.
Rooms and Bathrooms
Each eight-bed dorm room has lockers and a bathroom with a hot shower. Everything is clean and tidy, and the air conditioner is turned on...  "One of the best hostels I've ever stayed in! - This place is great. It's extremely clean. (It didn't matter what time of day I was in the reception area, there was always someone sweeping or cleaning the kitchen. They're a little fanatical, but it was much appreciated!) The rooms come with linens already on the beds and the community bathroom is huge (and also very clean)! The staff are the best though. They helped us arrange a canopy zipline tour and a night tour to the Arenal Volcano and... "Great - This was a fantastic place to stay -- four dollars a night and a great social setting where you will meet people from all over." … Right off the main road, 350m from public bus stop heading away from volcano.
