Like everyone says, it is better if you know someone there. But everybody is also right about this being a beautiful city and very economic for visitors.

Medellin is a great city to check out for a few days. There is loads to do in and outside the city -- like daytrips to Guatape and Santa Fe de Antioquia. Also paragliding is cheap and great.

Wow. Medellin is fantastic. The people are very friendly and the city is so beautiful. I never expected to see something like that after seeing all the bad things you see on TV (if you know what I mean). It's better if you know somebody there.

Medellin has during December a lot of sightseeing. Try the national museum with the famous Botero collection. It is wise to travel through the city with a guide or a friend. Walking in the surrounding moutains is also a pleasure and you can see the city lying down below.

Medellin is a great place to visit, but better if you know somebody there. I had friends to show me around. The food is great, women are beautiful, and the people friendly. However, there are definitely things to be cautious of, like any large city.
