"New hostel in an old house (roumors have it that this used to be a gay bar!) The young argentine owner has done a great job of remodelling this place - especially the common areas are really nice. There is a kicthen for travellers use in the summertime - in the wintertime meals are offered. Nice breakfast with homemade bread is included in the price. "BE CAREFUL, They rip people OFF - Be careful with these people. My daughter, a cinematography student here in Chile and 3 friends, as a part of their career curriculum, planned on attending the Valdivia Film festival this past October and called the Albergue Latino to make reservations. They asked for 50% of the total reservation in advance. Unfortunately the day after I sent them the funds, one of the University teachers gave the students a work which was not compatible with them attending the festival.
