"Cozy but rundown - I stayed for 2 nights in December 2009. To save the 19% tax you can pay $10 US instead of Chilean Pesos. The hostel is located on a quiet street about 5 blocks from the central zone. There are touts handing out brochures at the bus terminal and they give a free transfer in a mini-van to the hostel. The hostel is a bit run down and definitely "budget class." It's an old building and the wooden floors creak loudly and the bathrooms need repairs but the place is otherwise kept very clean and tidy by daily cleaning staff. The...  more »

"Great hostess, comfortable place. - You'll feel you are a house guest of an extremely hospitable hostess. "My parents and I spent three days at this excellent hostel in February 2005. We stayed in a triple room, which was spacious, clean and very cozy. Breakfast was delicious and rich. Patricia and her family made us feel very welcome in their home. She helped us with a lot of information about the town and provided us with maps and books about the area.
