Tobermory Hostels

Tobermory is a small, beautiful town at the tip of the Bruce Peninsula, between Lake Huron and the Georgian Bay. The town itself is small with few shops that supply the area and have limited opening hours, so it is always a good idea to get supplies during the daytime and to check the store opening and closing times if there are things that you need. Local businesses that are not for essential needs within this area are only open from May to October during the summer season.

The town is a great hub from which to explore the Fathom Five and the Bruce Peninsula National Parks. Fathom Five National Park is home to Flowerpot Island, a small island off the shore of Tobermory, renowned for its massive, flowerpot-shaped rock formations along the waterline. You can access the island by taking a boat from Tobermory for the day; there are also options to view one of the many shipwrecks that are famous within this area along the way. If shipwrecks are really your thing, then this is the place to be -- Tobermory is the freshwater scuba-diving capital of the world, with options to dive in and around the wrecks.

Bruce Peninsula National Park is home to some stunning geological features such as The Grotto and Overhang Rock. There are some incredible walks to do within this area, including The Bruce Trail, the famous walk to Niagara Falls along the Niagara Escarpment. Ferries are also available to Manatoulin Island if you want to spend more time in this area exploring.

Your choices for Tobermory hostels are clearly very limited, but Tobermory is still worth a visit.
